We are pleased to announce the third meeting of the International Conference on Modern Information Technologies in the Earth Sciences, organized  by Far East Geological Institute FEB RAS, Institute of Volcanology and Seismology FEB RAS, Geophysical Center RAS, with previous meetings in Magadan (2008) and Vladivostok (2010) Providing a specialized forum to researchers and practitioners interested in information technologies in Earth Sciences, Conference welcomes not only theoretical contributions but also application-oriented.

The goal of the International conference is to attract the leading researchers and experts working in information technologies, applied mathematics, geoinformatics, geophysics, system analysis, to exchange acquired knowledge and experience, as well as to discuss possibilities for setting up joint projects and programs.  

The scope of conference issues to be discussed:

• Networking for data acquisition. Development of the systems for remote monitoring of natural phenomena.
• Remote sensing. Satellite monitoring of the environment.  Techniques to analyze satellite data. Services for operational access to satellite data and systems for their processing.

• Geoinformation provisions of fundamental investigations in Earth sciences. Infrastructure of spatial data. Problems of spatial data integration, services and applications. Intellectual GIS.
• Mathematic modeling of natural processes. Mathematic methods of information analysis.
